Mrs. Perez taught a lesson using Louise Nevelson as inspiration for a lesson on using found objects to create a piece of art. Students used items that were donated by one seventh grader who was cleaning out her craft closet. After designing their own box, they filled them up with multiple layers of household fodder. They are looking great so far. The students will be taking their creations outside to spray paint them in a monochromatic color inspired by Nevelson's work. 7th grade students recently received small laptops from the school and they are coming in quite handy in the art room! We will soon be using the computers for a photo editing project.
